With 49 years of experience in the automotive industry, Rodney is the driving force behind Austins’ Collision and Custom Bodyworks. He founded the shop in 1990 after working his way up through various dealerships, gaining hands-on expertise in every aspect of the trade. A true perfectionist, Rodney holds numerous certifications, including I-CAR, ASE, and GM, ensuring his work meets the highest industry standards.
Unlike many shop owners who stay behind a desk, Rodney is hands-on in the shop, working alongside his team to ensure every repair meets his high expectations. His passion for cars started early—at just 12 years old, he began working on his first car, a vehicle he still owns today. That same car has won multiple awards and has been featured in several automotive magazines.
Outside of work, Rodney enjoys building custom hot rods, attending car shows, and traveling. His dedication to craftsmanship and teamwork is the foundation of Austins’ Collision and Custom Bodyworks’ reputation for excellence.
With 38 years of experience in the automotive industry, Wayne has been a cornerstone of our team since 2000. As our Production Manager, he brings extensive knowledge and expertise in customer relations and insurance handling, ensuring every job runs smoothly from start to finish.
Wayne holds numerous certifications, including ASE, I-CAR, welding, and estimating, making him a well-rounded leader in the shop. Beyond his technical expertise, he excels at working with customers and coordinating repairs to ensure top-quality results.
When he’s not managing operations, Wayne enjoys working in his yard and building his own hot rods. His dedication and experience make him an invaluable part of our team.
Pat is a skilled Automotive Body Repair Technician with nine years of experience in body repair. Since joining our team in 2015, he has been a dedicated and hardworking member, always willing to take on any task to ensure quality results. He takes great satisfaction in seeing a project through to completion and delivering a finished product that leaves customers happy.
Beyond his technical skills, Pat is also the shop’s class clown, always keeping the team laughing and creating a fun work environment. His sense of humor and positive attitude make him a great teammate both in and out of the shop.
When he’s not at work, Pat enjoys spending time with his wife and four daughters. His commitment to his craft, combined with his lighthearted nature, makes him an invaluable part of our team.
Joe is a skilled Automotive Body Repair Technician with 11 years of experience in the industry. Since joining our team in 2019, he has been a dependable and easygoing team member, always bringing a positive attitude to the shop. He has completed I-CAR certification, ensuring he stays up to date with industry standards and best practices.
Outside of work, Joe enjoys spending time with his sons and being involved in little league. His dedication to both his craft and his family makes him a valued part of our team.
With 35 years of experience in automotive body repair, Lucio brings a wealth of knowledge and skill to our team. Since joining us in 2023, he has been a valuable asset, specializing in frame repair, welding, and straightening body panels back to original specifications. His precision and dedication to craftsmanship ensure that every repair meets the highest standards.
Lucio holds I-CAR and welding certifications, reinforcing his expertise in structural and cosmetic repairs. Outside of work, he enjoys playing and watching basketball and football. His passion for both the trade and teamwork makes him an essential part of our shop.
Mario brings 15 years of experience in buffing and detailing, ensuring every vehicle leaves the shop with a flawless finish. Since joining our team in 2022, he has been dedicated to perfecting the final details that make a car stand out. His keen eye for detail and commitment to quality help maintain the high standards our shop is known for.
Outside of work, Mario enjoys playing baseball and softball, as well as spending time outdoors fishing and camping. His passion for both his craft and the outdoors makes him a valued member of our team.
Jesse is a dedicated Painter’s Apprentice with four years of experience in the refinishing industry. Since joining our team in 2021, he has trained extensively in both Glasurit solvent and water-based paint systems. His eagerness to learn and commitment to mastering the craft make him a valuable part of the refinishing team.
Jesse enjoys taking on new challenges and refining his skills under the guidance of experienced painters. Outside of work, he likes playing computer games and hanging out with friends. His passion for learning and attention to detail contribute to the high-quality finishes our shop delivers.
With 42 years of experience in the automotive refinishing industry, Jerry is a master of his craft. Since joining the shop in 2016, he has been dedicated to delivering top-quality finishes with an unwavering eye for perfection. Certified by both Glasurit and I-CAR, he continuously pushes himself to improve his skills and stay ahead of industry advancements.
Jerry thrives on challenges that test his abilities, always striving for the best possible results. In addition to his own expertise, he has trained many apprentices who have gone on to build successful careers in the auto painting field. His passion for mentorship and skill development has helped shape the next generation of refinishers.
Beyond the shop, Jerry enjoys making YouTube videos to share his knowledge, demonstrating techniques and best practices to help others in the industry refine their skills. When he’s not in the booth or behind the camera, he enjoys building computers and spending quality time with his wife. His dedication to craftsmanship, education, and innovation makes him an invaluable part of the team.
